Angel Tree is a faith-based program by Prison Fellowship that helps strengthen relationships between incarcerated parents and their children. Angel Tree's goal is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of incarcerated parents and their families. The program also aims to encourage family structure so that children don't follow a path of incarceration themselves.
Here are a few different ways you can be involved...
-Adopt an Angel:
Approximately 75 children will need to be adopted and wishlist gifts purchased and donated. These gifts are presented to the children as "from mom/dad/uncle" (the incarcerated party) with the simple message of "mom/dad loves you, misses you and has not forgotten about you".
-Gift Card Donor:
You can donate a $50 Walmart gift card (with gift receipt) that will be handed to each caregiver inside a Christmas card that includes a personal note and invite to Christmas services at HighRidge Church Fort Worth.
-Financial Donor:
Financial gifts are used towards unpurchased gifts and caregiver gift cards.
-Sleigh (Follow Vehicle):
We need approximately 2-3 (SUV or Truck) follow vehicles per group to help transport gifts & act as the liaison between the delivery group and caregiver. We encourage "Sleigh" that you
-Reindeer (Motorcycle)
We need volunteers to ride routes and lead the sleighs around Tarrant County to deliver presents door to door on the day of the event.
Unlike a traditional Angel Tree, this event provides the unique opportunity to hand-deliver Christmas gifts to children in need. These children, recipients of Prison Fellowship Angel Tree, are sons and daughters of incarcerated parents. Often, they are cared for by grandparents, aunts, or uncles—relatives who step in to prevent them from entering the foster system. However, these caregivers typically face financial challenges, making it difficult to provide the extra support needed, especially during the holidays. As a result, many of these children likely will not receive any Christmas gifts.
This is where we come in. Sanctified Motorcycle Ministry has partnered with Highridge Church Fort Worth and Prison Fellowship Angel Tree to embody the hands and feet of Jesus this Christmas season. While we know Christmas is not about material things, to a child, a simple gift can symbolize the love of a parent. Our goal is to collect and deliver presents on behalf of "Mom" or "Dad," sending a message that "Mommy/Daddy misses you and asked us to bring these gifts to show you how much they love you." This act of service is about reflecting Christ’s love and working to heal broken homes.
On the day of the event, volunteers will gather in the Highridge Fort Worth parking lot for coffee, doughnuts, and an operational briefing. Teams will be organized, and routes and instructions will be shared. Both motorcycles and vehicles are essential for making this event a success. SUVs and trucks will serve as "sleighs," transporting the gifts, while motorcycles, acting as "reindeer," will lead the way from home to home. As we deliver the gifts, children will have the chance to take photos with the motorcycles, and we offer to pray with the caregivers, invite them to Christmas services, and present them with an additional gift card to help ease any financial burdens.
Join us this Christmas as we deliver hope and joy to Children in our community.
Please ensure that your gifts are wrapped and labeled with both the child's name & Code# (this information can be located via the angel tree tag). Please deliver all presents to our table that will be stationed in the lobby each Sunday beginning November 10th at Highridge Church Fort Worth.
